Detective Keith Dressel (1971-2007)

Under cover of night, They're paid to fight
For what is good, and wrong and right.
Somebody didn't make it home today.

They leave their families, and their wives
Kiss the kids, and risk their lives
Somebody didn't make it home today,

They work each day, out on their own
But as of tonight, a new star has shone
Somebody didn't make it home today.

So with your family, shed a tear
Hold them close, it's what we fear
Somebody didn't make it home today.

Sorry about the previous comment. I didn't know who you were talking about- didn't recognize the name as the TPD officer shot last night.

Not a problem LD. This is a bad day for all of Toledo. In respect for the officer, I won't be commenting on this situation until tomorrow, but I've set the blog to black for the next 30 days.

In all fairness, I don't think you speak for all of Toledo.

Well, it’s really hard for me to muster much sypathy for a dead cop. He chose a profession dedicated to enforcing an unjust system and ruining the lives of countless people. I’d personally prefer people cease working for the police and the state, but a cop off the street is a cop off the street.

Mahkno,

I suppose if you consider protecting the citizens of the Toledo "enforcing an unjust system" I would suggest you seek the alternative forms of government practiced in several of the Third World countries. If you really believe this, jump on a boat today. In the meantime, I'll send notice to the TPD that if anyone murders yourself, or a member of your family, that you'd rather they not "ruin your life."

On the contrary, I suspect I speak for Toledoians in this, as I don't consider you a Toledoian - the very name indicates a sense of community that the anarchy you suggest forbids by its very nature.

Nicely written Right Wing and I see that the same comment was written here as was on Glass City by Mahkno.

Mahkno, what is unjust in this system is that some jackal with a law degree kept letting this scumbag back onto our streets. It's jackasses like you who cheer for the crack dealers and, condemn the cops for catching them that have turned this city into a 2nd rate ghetto. I think you have your priorities ass backwards.
